Fair Foods, Inc.
Since 1988, Fair Foods has transported daily truckloads of usable surplus goods from industry to low-income communities in eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. We recycle massive amounts of grocery-quality fresh food and high-grade building materials and bring them directly to the people who need it most. The "Dollar-a-Bag Donation Program" operates through a network of some 200 volunteers weekly in over 50 "Two-Dollar-a-Bag" food distribution sites, situated in churches, schools, and senior housing complexes. For a donation of two dollars (though food is given regardless), a family receives about 15 pounds of groceries.

The Greater Boston Food Bank
The Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in New England, helping to feed families in Eastern Massachusetts who cannot make ends meet.  Online locater for food pantries and soup kitchens.

Food Stamp Program
People all over the country can get food stamps, but different states have different rules. Project Bread, a non-profit agency in Massachusetts, built this web site to help people in Massachusetts get food stamps.

Partners HealthCare and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
This summer, Project Bread and Partners HealthCare are working together to try to fill the meal gap with healthy, quality lunches for nearly 4,000 children at 56 neighborhood sites in Boston, Revere and Lynn through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Across the state, the SFSP provides food for approximately 55,000 kids at 822 neighborhood sites. These sites provide lunch, and sometimes also breakfast and a snack, and are located in Boys and Girls Clubs, community centers, schools and playgrounds, churches, and YMCAs.

Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program
WIC is a nutrition program that provides nutrition and health education, healthy food and other services free of charge to Massachusetts families who qualify. Sponsored by the Massachusetts Office of Health and Human Services.
