This national organization with nearly 200 local chapters is committed to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and helping those affected by it.  This organization’s website contains an online caregiver resource guide for family caregivers and friends with tips and practical information for providing care to someone with Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer’s Disease Education and Referral Center (ADEAR)
This organization is part of the National Institute for Aging. It has numerous resources for caregivers including an information and referral line, a bibliographic database, multimedia resources, and an online caregiver resource guide.  This caregiver guide provides practical tips and fact sheets on topics such as dealing with the diagnosis, communication, activities, exercise, sleep problems and wandering.
